The Next Generation

I am taking another break from penning my next entry on 3rd day in Bangkok. As you all know, I went back to Kuching for Chinese New Year 2012 and we are ushering in the year of the Dragon (Water Dragon). So water is the element of the year. Bagus lah ... cool down banyak yang "panas-panas" yang sedang hangat berlaku kat seluruh dunia sekarang ni.

Anyway, to conservative Chinese ... the dragon year is among the most awaited year. It is a year of transformation, its a year that they should have babies (kalau son lagi bagus). Many believe Dragon babies bring luck to the family and people who are born in the year of the Dragon one day will hold high positions or very influential. You see ... in ancient China, the celestial Dragon represents an emperor and power. Today, it is the ultimate auspicious symbol signifying success and happiness.

Having said that, many fengshui masters predicted that this year would not be prosperous lah sebab the most fearsome star that is 5 Yellow (ni boleh sebabkan extreme financial lost and injuries) is entering the Dragon sector of Southeast. Bad news for me, Snake also share the same sector so this is not a year for me to be overzealous in work or relationship (if any). Have to be extra careful and lay low this year. My consolation is that, this year's element is water whereas 5 Yellow is an Earth star. So water is destructive to earth so the impact will not be that bad huhuhuhu

Anyway, this year I spent most of my time with my nephews and nieces. They have grown so big, playful and naughty. I am happy that to see that the brothers, sisters and cousins are getting closer from the new generation. I did a lot of cooking too this CNY. From normal meals, to our open house dishes, to family party and gravies for my cousin Grace (so that she could cook her kids favourite dishes). I showcased few new recipes from all my "travel and living" experience in Penang - Kari Kapitan (modified), Duck in Salted Vegetables, Bangkok Tom Yum (from scratch uolssssss ... takdenyer pes pes), Spaghetti ala Aglio Olio (Amberly merajuk that everyone finished it up when she asked for 2nd helping) ... andddddd a dish I called ...

Ayer Itam Duck - inspired by the famous Ayer Itam Duck Rice and Kylie Kwong version of Peking Duck. After roasting it for few minutes, the duck then cut in pieces and pour the special gravy on top
I also babysat for Florence and Grace - supposed to be until Thursday, then the kids didn't want to go home then extended to Saturday. I loved having kids around especially when they are well-behave. Well, my cousins did a wonderful job in raising their kids ... except both of them are lazy cooks ... so for 6 days, their kids get to eat proper home-cooked food from Auntie Mie.

From left to right: Ashleigh, Amberly, Gina, Marco, Maegan and Michelle. Funny bah my nephews and nieces, my mother pulak they anggap their nenek.
The baby in pink is Fidelia. By the way, I think Michelle and Ashleigh will grow into stunning beauties one day.
The girls sleepover getaways at my mum's house.
Amberly doing the split.
Anyway, I would like to take this opportunity to showcase, the little mister whom I mentioned in my previous entry. Jeng jeng jeng jeng .....

The rumor is true ... I am my Mamma Mie new man ... do you have problem with that?
This is my girl so jangan kacau.
So this CNY, I met Mr Carl Nickson for the first time. I was so shocked to see a 1 month plus baby that looks like a 3 months old baby. According to his grandma, his weight now is 5kg plus plus. Goodness, looking at him, holding him makes me want to have my own baby ... (terus sakit perut walaupun tak berkaitan).

CARL NICKSON SPECIAL SHOTS by Rambomadonna
Shot 1 - okay sleeping peacefully.
Shot 2 : Closer shot, ok still sleeping.
Shot 3: At this time, the kids were shouting and baby Nick "terkejut" (panic!!!)
Shot 4: Alamak terbangun pulak .... I did try to put him back to sleep but he kept staring at me.
"Don't kiss me anymore", I think that's what Baby Nick was trying to say.
I knew he wanted to "play".
Eh ... who taught him that ... jaga Mama pukul nanti.
I must put on my best pose too ... Aunty Amberly is too photogenic.
I love to be the centre of attention!

Peace Be With You ...

I was doing some photo housekeeping on my digital camera SD cards when I stumbled upon my cousin's Florence family trip to KL photos. Hehehe ... the kids are so cute, adorable and cheeky ... especially the youngest one, Maegan. Maegan unfortunately is not a very friendly toddler, especially not to strangers. However, after a few days, she warmed up towards me and seriously ... she's quite a handful. Everything that caught her fancy, will be hers for the day ... including my bantal busuk huhuhu

But she is not stingy with her peace-offering ... hahaha

Hmmm ... shall we offer one another a sign of peace???

Ops Pisau Cukur 2011

Nak ketawa bila baca komen Norzah on FB (I am not sure which wall post) that goes ..." happy hunting J". Auwww terasa diri ini predator sangat. Tapi bagus juga encouragement tu. Nak tunggu being the hunted, rasanya the next 10 year i will be "haunting" instead of "hunting" hahahaaha

However a long pillow talk (until 4 am ) with my friends on Blackberry Messenger group conference, I realised my hunting operation need more than just domestic goddess training, total makeover and kewl gadgets. I have suspected it few months back after reading Oprah Winfrey's article in a Health Magazine but after chatting with my friends, it sort of affirm that my thyroid problem datang balik. But instead of being hyperthyroidism, it became hypothyroidism. I read some health articles on the Internet that hyperthyroidism may eventually lead to hypothyroidism. In my case I was no longer under medication and treatment since year 1998 and my last health screening in 2002 showed my thyroxine hormone was OK.

We were discussing about my friend's struggle on coping with his gf silent temper due to hypothyroidism. So I pun tercerita lah about my family and friends struggles with my studden change in behaviour, the confusions and heartaches they had to go through. That time I was in boarding school, my teachers thought I had disciplinary problems pulak ... you know sebab trouble sleeping at night I couldn't wake up sometimes and had trouble concentrating. I knew then I was not well but I was also confused with the illness. Until my Auntie Rose (mum's elder sister) helped me out as she too had the same problem. It turned out my other Auntie Rose (dad's elder sister) also had thyroid problems. Aiya ... I inherited the Roses genes rupanya.

Back to the pillow talks, as my friend explained further about the hypothyroidism symptoms ... I think my heart stopped beating for a while. I felt like I was being diagnosed. I sort of like mistaken my sudden weight gain/lost or mood swings as effects of stress and aging. I felt depress for no reasons sometimes ... again I blamed it on stress. But some other signs like dry skin, sleepiness, keletihan and tak tahan sejuk ... haiya that's it. I am going to get medical checkup by end of this week.

So as I waited for my "mood problem" to be solved by end of this week, yesterday afternoon I decided that I should start my domestic goddess training by cooking special dish for dad for lunch. Barulah terhegeh-hegeh nak carik buku resipi yang beli jer tapi tak pernah buka. Btw, I inherited another of the Roses gene ... passion for cooking!

Auntie Rose Penang really spoil me rotten here. I am soooooo the Princess here. Oh my Gucci!!! Sampaikan pegang senduk dan periuk pun dah rasa sangat janggal. Bagaimanapun bagi memastikan operasi ini berjalan lancar, selongkarlah mana-mana periuk belanga and kuali at our town house kitchen. Then I went to Chowrasta Morning market beli asam jawa and fresh kunyit/cili giling. Don't play play u know ... here in Penang, curry, rempah giling is sold by Chinese, with recipes handed down from generation to generation.

I decided to cook Red Snapper Gulai Assam Tumis for my dad, based on Auntie Rose recipe, which was handed down from my grandma who learned it from my great-grandma. Yes .... I am from Cina Peranakan family. One day I'll post photos of my great grandma in her baju panjang. I have tasted many so-called peranakan dishes by some so-called peranakan sellers but I wish to state here that Auntie Rose cooking is authentic Peranakan. Cukup segala rempah, pedas and what not. Sometimes it is not the elaboration in the cooking preparation ... it's the flavours!

The verdict: Dad loved it sooooo much and minta me to cook again. Yeaaaaa .... Jom kita memancing!

Mie and Daddy ... Making Up For The Lost Time

I am so "disorganised" and "disoriented" lah last 2-3 days. Something is very wrong with my brain ... I guess those who check their FB will know my status yesterday! I need to make up for the blunder! BTW, 30% of my mistake I nak put the blame on my top bosses boleh tak ... when the leaders no direction ... guess wat happen to their staffs and subordinates ...

Neway, I am going back to Penang today ... with my dad! He is here in KL for a paralimpic tournament. So we are gonna have a daughter and dad (and Froggie) session travelling sambil jalan2 cari makan to Penang. For those who knew me, my dad and myself led separate life for more than 20 years. We only met once or twice a year. Except for the last few years since I started making the first move to get to know him ... again!!!

At least now, he already trust my driving, realised that I am 17 not 10 (hehehe) ... else tanya Emel ... susahnya akak nak keluar rumah in Penang. Hahahaha ... malar jak "grounded"! Will update you guys about my journey later...

OK to all daddies out there ... Happy Father's Day ...

Jaime Hafiz ????

Yes, I am afraid of flying. If not because that is the only mode of transportation to go to Kuching I will never take a flight home. Maybe I watched too much of Air Crash Investigation on Discovery Channel that everytime the plane hit an air pocket or turbulence, macam-macam lah gory images enter my mind.

Anyway, I made an exception this time. Overcoming my fear so that I could be reunited with my family and close friends (Emel, Agnes and latest BFF Jethro) for Gawai and Kazen Hafiz's wedding. BTW, err I sort of doze off most of the time in Kuching (too much oxygen and positive ions) so tak banyak gambar taken on Gawai. Even big baby Gina kena abandoned by me ... takpe lah mummy Joan and Bejit ada. She is in her Terrible Two stage now, don't want to listen to people, start to show her stubborness. Now her tagline is "alas ku" (malaslah) if you ask her anything ...

To Kazen Davidson ... Sorilah Kazen I updated this entry late but firstly congratulations on your new status as Laki Orang. Actually, its hard for me to envisage you as the "man" of a family ... you know after going through that "experience" with you just few weeks back ... mcm sik cayak aku that "innocent" boy (benar ndak kah innocent) may not be innocent anymore hahahaha ;P

Anyway, its good that you thought of doing your wedding reception at the Four Points By Sheraton. Boleh juak melaram and enjoy the wedding instead of tolong cuci pinggan. U know Zen, time aku "check in" at the ballroom I was looking for my name at the guest list. Little did I know that you enlisted me as Jaime Hafiz and you also invited Hafiz's sisters. Kecoh reception counter ya ingat aku adik Hafiz ... sampe waitress that serves our table that nite told me that she likes Hafiz.

Hehehe ... adik ke I nie ... suker sangat! Tak sia2 aku minum sup sarang burung Gua Niah!

Zen, u know we had a funny story while we were dressing up for the reception. Both Jethro and myself were dressing up for your wedding but Agnes u know lah her, semua pun sik suka. Last2 when we arrived at the hotel I whispered to Jet, "If the two of us walk ahead first holding hands, surely people will think that we are a couple and Agnes is our maid" ... hahaha ... iboh manas Ness.

Zen, I read your blog just now ... I thought my eyes were deceiving me when I saw your wedding suit macam contrast in kaler. Haiyaa.... how come u didn't get new pants for your wedding! Wat la you ... Anyway, I did what you had instructed while you were busy waltzing to your wedding song ... ambik gambar dengan adik2 Hafiz ... yalah hoo ... boleh jadi adik beradik Hafiz aku tok.

Then time presentation of your wedding pictures, nervous aku and Jet you might put gambar kita melompat sakan atas pentas AF7 hingga expose our belly-button. Never thought you were that slim masa kat USM though hehehe ... Yea those were the years 1995 BC (before cholesterol)

Anyway, Zen ... love the wedding reception, love new and old frens whom I met ... love Snah's ballroom gown and most of all love that look of love (or was it lust huhuhu ... sabar Zen, banyak masa gik) that you gave to Snah throughout the nite ... Last but not least, make love not war (kelazzz sik statement aku).

Hafizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Susah hati!!!!

Tengah susah hati sekarang nie. I tak tahu mana I letak my 8GB memory card. Dalam tuh banyak betul gambar2 menarik yang I belum tranfer to my external HD. Mostly gambar about my recent travel to Kulim and Penang.

I nak share sebenarnya dalam this entry ... ada satu pic yang I ambik masa tgh driving at 120 km/per hr on a distance sunset view. Then gambar2 yang I ambik guna my new Canon EOS 500D DSLR camera. Sedey ... sedey ...

Hope I misplace it at Emel's house.

Having said that .. I would like to congratulate Sue on her success as Sabah first female paraglider ... eee ... kurang sudah aku benda2 lasak mcm nie ... now I am more to arts and culture. Mau explore the softer and artistic side of Mie ... Hmmm, rasa mau tukar nama ke rainbowmadonna. BTW, Suna ada sekarang di sini with me ... biasalah rumah aku sudah jadi Tunehotel.com.

This week ... my home welcome many visitors. Semalam Suna and this Friday ...looking forward to see Emel, Jethro and Davidson for AF Finale. Again, business "rumah tumpangan" makin rancak hehehe ... cousin david ... anang lupak baik mee kolok auk ...

Now barulah aku berdiri sama tinggi ngan kau and Jet coz aku dah ada DSLR camera ... tapi lawak nar kitak orang ... mbak kamera high end sik juak ambik gambar hehehe. EmeL sik mauk kalah juak .. she bought Canon IXUS 100IS last Saturday ...

To my mom and Po ... Happy Mothers Day ... geram nar aku nangga muka si Maegan. Tembam! Bought booties and soft toys for her last week. Later I buy gown for her ... sekali with Gina's. Nanti jeles pulak dia with Maegan, as she is no longer the baby of the family.

To Jason ... Congrats on your Convo ...

Hmmm .... I still susah hati nie!

Grandma's Funeral - Part 2 The Story Behind

People say a picture can say a thousand words ...

Though my sister Joan was the only one posing for the camera, when this picture was taken Thomas (the one in blue shirt) was explaining to my mum and Aunt Lara (my Filipino auntie) that the way you fold the yellow paper with the silver square on the centre (heaven money) will the determine it's value in heaven. The more it resembles a gold bar then the more value it is in heaven ... later we asked him " Got shopping mall meh in heaven?" ... very kesian right, grandma so rich now but cannot spend it.

These are 3 Buddhist monks who came to chant prayer for my grandma. Often three monks recitals were not in harmony with each other because the one in the centre always doze off...

We were asked to close our eyes and concentrate on the chants. Aunt Rose was the only one who can remained in "meditating" state during the chanting.

We also hire a band for grandma's funeral. By the way, they were not playing "Another Sad Love Songs" OK ... My grandma got taste also maa .. They played all evergreen songs like Unchained Melody, The Green Grass of Home and some popular Chinese songs. Lupa nak minta main lagu Guns and Roses - Sweet Child of Mine...

This is just a normal snap. But actually while I was taking this picture, the sight of grandma's 7 children giving their last respect and see their mother's face for one last time before the funeral master closed the coffin door was so heart wrenching that I cried. I didn't realised that the rest of the family were crying too behind me including macho cousin Eddie and Ah Peng.

Do not attempt to do this at home.

At first we wanted to send grandma a big bungalow. Can get that easily coz I still keep one miniature bungalow "courtesy" of one unlicensed developer (barang2 geledah). Then we changed our mind coz nobody will help her to maintain the bungalow in heaven. So we thought of sending her a Porsche so that she can jalan2 in style maa... then we realised grandma had no driving license. Thomas suggested to send her the latest Nokia so that we can contact her, until uncle Tony said ... "how is she going to reload the prepaid?" ... nanti macam ada satu iklan Digi pulak... so we settle with this traditional transport lah ... global economic recession maa plus more environmental friendly ...

Grandma's Funeral - Part 1 The Reunion

First and foremost, my family and I would like to thank everyone for the well wishes... We hold a grand funeral for my grandma's yesterday at our home in Ayer Itam, followed by prosession to Bukit Gantong Crematorium where my grandma's body was cremated. Tomorrow, her ashes will be placed in her resting place beside my grandpa at the temple nearby (ayakkss.. forgot the name of the temple).

Before she died, she told my aunts that she wanted to be laid to rest in this kebaya paired with the sarung that late my grandpa bought for her many years ago (grandma so romantic). She also told my aunts that she didn't want all her loved ones to be sad on her funeral. Well it was hard not be sad on funerals, plus its a BIG no-no to laugh or making jokes in Chinese funerals.

The funny thing was, we realllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyy... I mean reallyyyyyyyyyyy enjoyed ourselves throughout the 3 days vigil before her funeral. While makan we laugh, while listening to the Buddhist monks chanting we laugh, while the Taoist priest mispronounce my mum's and Aunt Lara's name we laugh ... we just can't stop making fun of each other... Mainly because most of us had not been seing each other for more than 10-20 years... gosh!!!! So they were so much to catch up. If not because of the Golden Girls Kepoh Chis(my 4 aunts) we will not know the latest news about each other... to one extend we only knew our cousins through our aunts' stories but never even met them ...

Gold bar worth millions of dollars for grandma in heaven.

Everyone catching up stories and latest news.

Everyone too seemed to aged and grew more prosperous... And with Ruby's excellent cookings most of us grew even more prosperous. At first I couldn't recognise my once STYLO uncle Tony until he said .... "yaaaaaaaaaa.... its true". When he was younger I always thought Uncle Tony as the playboy twin of my dad... now he looks soooo much like grandma or grandpa (maybe because he lost most of his teeth hahaha) ...

It was always fun to be around uncle Tony, he has sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many stories of his younger days rendezvous and journey around the world when he was working with an offshore company. Just imagine I just found out that we lived in the same area in Jalan Ipoh the last few years but never bump into each other.

It was also the first time for me meeting cousin Bradley and Brandon, the food loving brothers which earn them the Topui (fatty bom bom) and Tukotai award (potato head) from cousin Wendy. My mum and sister Joan really have soft spot for these two boyz to men... Very well mannered, gentlemen and fun-loving guys. Haaa... they used to be baby models too ... iklan Amalkan Cara Hidup Sihat ... at one glance they can be mistaken as my brothers right? Anyway, these two boys lagi kesian ... they don't speak Hokkien. However, most of the rituals are conducted in Hokkien so everytime the Taoist monk gave us instructions they will have this blank look. At least I could get away by putting on my most Bidayuh expression, these boys mana mau lari ... mata sudah sepet.

I think among Grandma's grandchildren, most have not seen me for more than 15 years. First, I seldom joined my family trip to Penang during my teenage years. Secondly, like my dad and uncle Tony I love to lead my life free, easy and private ... so they seldom see me in any Yeoh's family occasion. BTW, everyone remember me as the naughty one and according to my mum and cousin Wendy, always do my business in the longkang, love to play (and kill) chickens ... luckily I am not a Buddhist ... else I will be reborn as a chicken and ended up as finger licking good KFC.

Nevertheless, I think nobody could recognise cousin Eddie. We had a loud laugh when cousin Wendy told us that she almost chased Eddie away thinking that he might be a bouncer or gangster entering the wrong home. Hehehe in fact my only memory of Eddie was when we were both 5 years old and Uncle David brought myself and Joan with 5 of his 6 children for a picnic to Batu Feringghi Beach...and he was such a baby, always clinged to his sister Ruby.

Baby Wei Szi ... this is her how she smile everytime she strike a pose for the camera.

Sherina and my mum

All the love and attention of the day will definitely go to Hubert's daughter Wei Szi and Ruby's youngest girl Sherina. All of the sudden, I could speak Mandarin hahaha ... coz Hubert's speaks to her daugther and wife in Mandarin (she is a Cantonese). Everyone will give these 2 girls either a kiss on the cheek or squeeze that chubby cheek until baby Wei Szi will scream ... "mai kiss, mai sayang, mai picit". One day we were doing hi five and suddenly when it was my turn Wei Szi said ... "bu yao ta" (don't beat me) ... might have mistaken me for Eddie coz he too tied his long hair into pony tail.

My appreciation will go to my four aunts especially Auntie Janet for putting the family together and keep everyone posted of what happens to each other. And because of their excellent care for grandma, she live to live a long life and up to 5 generations ...

By the way Bradley, since you told me that you will check out my blog, this is the latest pic of ur brother Kevin in my possession taken few months before he left for New Zealand.

In Loving Memory of Madam Lim Gim Eann

Dear all, I have to cut short my CNY holidays in Kuching and flew back to Penang today. My grandmother, Mdm Lim Gim Eann passed away yesterday morning (3rd day of CNY). The funeral will be on Sunday.

The last few years had been wonderful for me as I had the chance to get closer and spent time with her. Among all her grandchildren, she can only remember my name because I trained her to say my name every time I went back to Penang (main tipu sikit) ... but maybe also because I never fail to give her ang pow ( and she will asked "ku lui" = how much). When we ( me and my cousins) were younger we always teased her ... amma bo gey ... (grandma no teeth). Then she will took out her gigi palsu to scare us ... hehehe

Though she was very strict will all her grandchildren, everytime each one of us left her home after the school holidays were over she was always the saddest ... can feel from the hugs (... alamak nak menangis pulak). Nevertheless she will always be remembered as a loving grandma, love money and gold (hehehe) ... but most generous with her ang pow ...

May her soul rest in peace... love you grandma.

Body Mind and Soul - Shopping Therapy, SJP Moments and Spas

Aiyooo... makin lama makin mencabar lah nak mengupdate blog nie. I dunno if u all mengalami masalah yang sama tapi as days gone by ... all I can remember about a day event is pergi kerja then sibuk2 kat ofis, balik kerja, pastu kemas rumah, tgk TV, tido and pergi kerja ... mcm takde in between time nak mengupdate blog huhuhu...

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY TO JAYNE YVONNE YEOH

Anyway, first of all I would like to wish my "baby" sister Jayne .. Happy 21st Birthday ... too bad most of the family members will not be there on your birthday but do enjoy urself hard on this once in a lifetime special day coz after this you will start getting new year blues like me hahaha... AND ...jangan ingat body mu akan kekal bodylicious OK. I was thinner and slimmer when I was your age so paham2 jer lah who's SEBENARNYA gonna inherit Madam Nelly Paya ak Soweng's body 10 years from now.

Rustic Nirvana Spa @ Solaris Mont Kiara

As u know lah kan, lepas X'mas and dekat2 New Year i punya body system jadi tak betul lah sebab dah penat giler - body, mind and soul huhuhu... So, after all my family members dah balik Kuching I tried to have a good rest during weekend. Tapi biasalah takes time jugak to wind down sebab dah terbiasa dengan suasana riuh and then tiba2 sunyi sepi... huhuhu...

Tapi nampaknya permasalahan I mendapat perhatian masyarakat antarabangsa when I received a frantic call from Syuhana, asking me if I could joined her for a spa treatment at Rustic Nirvana Spa @ Solaris MONT Kiara. She got this promotion offer as a AEON Credit Card holder for a spa treatment for two at RM 68.00. Cheap right? Fuh, i pun dah lama tak pergi spa. Last I pergi somewhere early 2008. Sebelum nie I did enrol for a spa package at Zenith Spa @ Midvalley. Masa tuh I betul-betul nak pamper myself so I tried lah facial, massage and slimming treatment kat situ. I pun tak tahu kenapa I choose this place - perhaps because I was drawn to the green interior kot.

But lepas jer enrol myself to the spa package, I menyesal sebab tak buat homeworks atau tak try out other centres. Time tuh mcm cepat tangan nak "swipe". On the other hand, tak boleh salahkan diri jugak sebab I have never been to a spa before so I dont know what to expect. I am still a kampung girl at heart - kalau nak urut badan call jer Emma and balik kampung dia kat Felda "I can't remember the place", ada makcik tuh terer urut. So banyak lah lesson daripada spa2 nie.

First, don't commit yourself to many session package. Hari nie memang kiter seronok treatment tuh, tapi esok maybe nak try treatment lain plak. Secondly, jangan terus terpengaruh dengan kata2 beautician/therapist. Buat bodo jer kalau dia promote product dia atau dia suruh kita ambik pakej2 yang mahal. Ketiga, treatments nie pun sebenarnya boleh mix and match. We might like slimming treatment kat spa A but we love facial kat spa B.

Anyway, at Rustic Nirvana we tried the Jamu body massage, body wrap and herbal steam bath. Before we started our treatment, they served us sweet ginger tea. Hmmm I like ... I tak sempat lah nak ambik gambar spa tu but like the name, dia punya deco memang rustic... dinding dia tak dicat tapi dia buat mcm cement render. Sekali pandang mcm dinding yang tak siap. But wat I like about dia punya treatment room ialah ada built in shower so lepas treatment boleh terus mandi. Tak perlu lah nak jalan berkemban all the way to separate shower area.

Personally I like the whole Jamu treatment - macam treatment orang lepas pantang pulak. Lepas treatment u feel warm. But dari segi massage, I still prefer my favourite Thai masseur kat Urban Retreat, The Curve. Bagi I, I suka orang yang urut i memiliki jari2 yang pendek dan tembam. Jari-jari yang kurus and panjang make my sensitive skin sakit. Sepanjang kena urut tuh, Beverly, therapist yang assigned to me promote-promote lah spa dia orang tuh. Like the owner is Singaporean, and specialty treatment is pre-natal and post natal. Plus this is the only spa yang ada affliation dengan Pantai Medical Centre. Dia orang offer home visit service for women lepas bersalin. Ohhh! impressive.

Perhaps sebab dia guna ramuan herba seperti kunyit, halia, dan serai wangi yang bagus untuk buang angin - berapa kali I kena tahan dari buang angin hehehee.... Pricewise, compared to Zenith, I think it's cheaper and I think Asian inspired dia nie memang sesuai untuk wanita yang mengalami hormon imbalance, and post natal. Yang lepas bersalin tuh bagus try... u will know why ... (sebab I pergi lepas habis period).

The down side - sebab I still love my massage sessions at Urban Retreat. And then like I said, I taknak terikat because of the package thing until takde peluang nak try spa lain.

Sidetrack - Suprise Housewarming and X'mas Gift from Raj and Tuan Hamdan TTPR

After Syuhana, at 2.30 pm I received another call from my teh tarik buddies, Raj said he and Tuan Hamdan of TTPR has something for me and told me to meet him in 15 minutes time. Aiyo... I am so bad with suprises coz it always ended up people get suprises from me. Then just when I was about to getting ready to meet up with them at Tuan Hamdan's office I received another call from Datin Zaitun's office asking me to be at the Level 6 meeting room for a discussion immediately .... haaa see?

Turn out that both Raj and Tuan Hamdan felt bad for not attending my small X'mas party and they both got me a Christmas cum New Year cum housewarming present. Raj got me a PINK wristwatch and Tuan Hamdan gave me a nice crystal wine glass set. So sweet.... thank you guys... I will make up with many many teh tarik sessions nanti yer. I know Raj mesti tak tahan tgk jam tangan Fossil I mcm Ramli and Sazali tak tahan tgk jam tangan Baby Guess I dulu... hahahaha. Sungguh tak sessuaaaaaaaaiiii....

Sarah Jescica Parker (SJP) Moments @ Buttermilk

I am not into cupcakes tapi entah mengapa when Syuhana ajak I gi Uptown beli cupcakes for her hubby birthday masa our long Friday lunch break I rasa SJP of Sex In The City sangat ... very chic ! Sayang I was not wearing skirt kembang fru fru dengan heels to die for huhuhu.... Semenjak banyak spent time dengan Syu and Nurul, I suka lah indulge myself dengan benda yang comel-comel nie. Kadang2 heran jugak, manalah diaorang get to know place2 comel mcm nie. I like the decor of the shop, mcm classroom tadika pun ada, mcam american kitchen in the 1960s pun ada.

Shopping Therapy and Herbaline Facial Spa @ The Mines

Yesterday, I spent the whole day sleeping. Best betul AKHIRNYA dapat tidur lena dan panjang sampai tulang belakang i sakit-sakit. So pagi nie I kuatkan diri getting myself out of bed and heads for Mines for my CNY shopping. Mcm baru semalam jer shopping for X'mas. Kadang2 I rasa I terlebih cina pulak bila shopping for CNY like kena pastikan no "black", kena buy semua baru termasuk lah new lingerie... hehehe... Last 2 years, Angel Lim, my insurance agent fren, gave me panty merah dengan bunga peony besar kat depan to symbolise cepat kawin .... problemnya panty tuh very aunty style so i pun tak pakai so tertangguh lah perkahwinan I selama 2 tahun huhuhu.... But syariah lagi best ... she bagi a set of G-string for my 17th birthday anniversary ... alamak... kena workout lah pulak ...

Anyway, highlight of my shopping therapy was a facial spa at Herbaline plus complimentary fish reflexology. I sebenarnya pun tgh start a new life kat Seri Kembangan nie so as part of my new lifestyle kena start lah jaga kecantikan from top to toe. I was drawn to Herbaline nie because of the green interior and price per treatment dia very affordable. Ranging from RM 68 sehingga RM 138. Best of all, dia tak paksa orang ambik pakej and they entertained walk-in. The beautician pun tak paksa I beli product dia. Lately jugak pun terasa nak start a good beauty regime nie selepas tgk muka kawan2 lama kat facebook. Ada yang makin cun, ada yang makin "matang". Since muka I nie kering and I pun lama tak buat facial so they recommended the deep cleansing and mosturising treatment - which is very cooling and refreshing. hehehe... tgk gambar kat atas pun tau i mesti terlelap time treatment.

I thought spa nie kecik jer. I was suprise to find that the fish reflexology area dia nie open-air dalam taman berkonsepkan Zen. So after my facial session, I relax myself kat taman nie sambil membiarkan kaki "Giselle" i dijamah oleh ikan2 kecik. Tak sakit pun ... rasa macam kejutan-kejutan elektrik. Haa semin, this is how I achieved my sexy feet ... huhuhuhu. To distant cousin "Giselle" - you better watch out...
