Mana Satu Harus Ku Pilih ???

This morning I reached office at 7 am, hati dah membuak-buak nak tengok episode 24 with subs Boys Over Flowers yang dah diupload kat Arashi. Pada masa yang sama rasa nak sambung jugak tgk Starlit Episode 8 sebab dah sampai part Ah Yue confessed his feelings to Xiao Lu tapi ...

I dah buat janji manis kat Dato' TKPO dan betting dengan Dato' LA that the investigation paper siap dengan charge paper akan siap hari nie jugak ... tak kira lah daylight saving kah, gempa bumi kah, tsunami kah it will siap ...

then ... teringat pulak arahan Tan Sri KSN yang maklumat unlicensed housing development dia nak by next meeting PEMUDAH dan setakat nie tunggakan 47 cases yang inherit dari officers dulu-dulu baru 6 dah aku siap investigation paper. Nie pun tgh sedih bila baca fail2 tuh, banyaknya tak dibuat dulu-dulu. Eeee... even kes aku yang baru kat Muar tuh pun aku dah siap geledah dan with IP kat Dato' LA in 3 months.

Mampu kah aku siapkan semua tuh sedangkan hati ini merintih nak settlekan "kertas siasatan" I on what happen to Joon Pyo and Jan Di ... adakah ia akan berakhir dengan kebahagian? Aarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ...

Moga esok menjanjikan kebahagiaan buatku ... (huhuhuhu ... ayat sastera gilerrr)

Life Filled With Drama

Semuanya gara-gara Boys Over Flowers dan semuanya pun berpunca dari Boys Over Flowers ...

Hehehe ... emo pulak bunyinya. Actually hari Rabu hingga Jumaat last week luar biasa sibuknya at my office gara-gara Task Force meeting dengan PEMUDAH and dalam meeting tu Tan Sri KSN bagi arahan2 yang buat I kena unpaid overtime. Tu semalam tiba2 rasa nak jadi couch potato bantai tgk drama Korea to destress. Sedey nyer, BBF episod 24 with subs will only be available on tuesday next week sama ada kat Viikii, Arashi atau EpDrama.

So I check lah kat WikiDrama kot kot ada drama Korea yang sedang hangat di pasaran sekarang nie kat stesen Korea lain like MBC and SBS. Memang ada a few lah like Cain And Abel (SBS) and East of Eden (MBC) .... eee tapi I tak berapa minat lah heavy drama begini to destress. Anyway, I pun belum explore sepenuhnya ... kalau top rating mesti best kan?

Tiba-tiba masa check website mysoju di baru jer upload satu drama Korea called Princess Ja Myung Go (PJMG) and classified as HOT! Tgh airing sekarang on SBS since 10 March 2009. Wat attracts me I pun tak tahu. Tapi drama Korea genre historical and romance yang paling last and best I tengok pun Jewel In The Palace.

I pun try tgk lah dulu episod 1 dia kat EPDrama. BTW sinopsis dia klik sini yer. People, i rasa nie memang akan jadi hit lah. Kalau baca sinopsis memang lah macam cerita sejarah tapi yang nie dia pakai konsep flashback. Drama started dengan cerita Prince HoDong dan Princess Ja Myung a year after the fall of NangNang kingdom. Then pastu dia flashback lah how the fall happen and why Princess La Hee betrayed her country.

In short after watching 2 episodes I memang impress dengan cinematography and creativity production team in making cerita historical begini bukan mcm biography. You will noticed some similarities dengan Chinese/Hong Kong historical-martial art movies. Historically, ancient Korean kingdom memang banyak influence from China especially during Han Dynasty reign.

I pun checkout on wikipedia and found out that Nangnang kingdom (also known as Lelang Commanderies) was among the four commanderies installed by the Chinese Han Dynasty before it fell to the Goguryeo. So the story nie was based on those period lah. Sayang, the modern site of the ancient Korean kingdom locations as mentioned in the drama is in Pyongyang, North Korea. But if it a hit like Jewel in the Palace and Winter Sonata, I am sure banyak location penggambarannya akan jadi tourist destinations lah.

Yang tak bestnya, only 2 episodes of PJMG so far yang dah diupload kat mysoju and Viikii site. So tak dapatlah akak nak destress sepenuhnya. Jadi tiba2 teringin pulak nak tahu apa jadi dengan hero BBF Taiwan @ Meteor Garden, Jerry Yan. Sebenarnya I nie allergic dengan Jerry Yan coz ia mengingatkan I pada seseorang hehehe. So seboleh-bolehnya I cuba elak tgk gambarnya atau dramanya atau movienya. Nie pun satu lagi drama yang dikategorikan oleh mysoju as HOT! But of course, its a Taiwanese drama but heronya tu yang associate dengan BBF.

Nama drama nie Starlit (synopsis click here) and tgh air kat ASTRO pun channel 324 bagi sapa-sapa yang ambik Emperor Package lah.Baru habis tgk episode 1 and I suka his performance in this drama, kurang kontrol hensem hehehe. I tgk kat YouTube jer so ni link dia K. OK lah nak sambung tgk. Pas ni nak cari pulak drama baru lakonan hero BBF Japan @ Hana Yori Dango, Jun Matsumoto bertajuk Smile ....

Photoshoot @ Mie Casa

Yesterday Mie Casa was selected as photoshoot location for CNI For A Better Life Campaign ... kempen saja2 diadakan oleh I, Hadi, Safura and Fauzi. Kena la pakai kamera yang hebat dan diambik pulak oleh photographer professional. Point and shoot camera mcm Ixus I tuh selayaknya untuk blog rambomadonna jer hehehe... Pd masa yang sama kitaorg pun nak merapatkan hubungan antara downline dgn upline and strengthen our team synergy.

BTW, we are still working on materials for the blog and marketing plan programmes. Nantilah I share-share ... anyway people, lantaklah apa orang nak cakap pasal joining MLM or kerja part-time or buat bisnes kecik2 ... i am single woman yang merantau jauh from Land of The Hornbills, all alone in a metropolitan city. I rather fill my life with meaningful and profitable activities daripada letting loneliness and bitterness deludes me .. kan?

So selain photoshoot, Fauzi and Hadi pun tgh tolong pasang my brand new CNI Waterlife Treatment System. Yes, Jimmy Hiew and Samsir Saudah ... Waterlife Treatment System OK. Reverse Osmosis system yang dibangga oleh Ken Chow is so yesteryears ... anyway people, dulu myself, Jim and Sam buat industrial training at satu kilang yang selain buat botol, they also produce and market RO water. Ingat dulu Mr Ken make me memorize every type of water and treatment system available in the market masa tu.

Pada masa yang sama kitaorang buat ujian PH, chlorine level and paras logam berat dalam air yang sebelum dan telah dirawat melalui CNI Water Treatment System. Itu pasal lah terus buat photoshoot. Lagipun Joint Management Body Fortune Park memang HOT sekarang on bekalan air kotor dari SYABAS. Hasil ujian nanti I muatkan dalam blog lagi satu.

If Mr Ken tgk water treatment system nie, sure dia boleh jadi downline aku hehehe ... ada 7 filter lagi kau! Ada UV filtration (as in RO), boleh oxygenised and ionised .. feature yang sememangnya I cari.

Of course sebagai tuan rumah mestilah entertain our guest. My version of Spiral Pasta in Cream Sauce.

Dining In @ Mie Casa (Yo! Sushi Inspired)

Few months ago myself and Emel had a snack at Yo Sushi @ Midvalley. I immediately fell in love with the funky, groovy interior and selections of authentic Japanese ala carte menu and sushis on the kaiten belt. So refreshing ... Since we were just snacking, we didn't order much. However, I was truly, madly deeply love with this tuna sashimi salad. An excellent fusion of Italian style salad (in balsamic vinegar dressing) and lightly seared tuna sashimi.

Since that day I had on and off craving for the fusion salad. The problem is I don't like to dine there alone and most of my friends don't like raw Japanese food. Sometimes we also need a friend to do certain things like trying out new eating places or embark on a new adventure or exchange ideas right?

So when Emel suprised me with her visit yesterday, I felt a surge of new hope ... I felt liberated somehow (literally and gastronomically). But her visit this time was brief so no chance to dine again at Yo! Sushi. Suddenly it strike me ... why not make the salad myself.

This morning, feeling reenergise after sending Emel off at Sunway Convention Centre I hunted all over Plaza Damas and Mid Valley Cold Storage for all the freshest and organic wet items I could find. So people, this is my version of Mix Garden Salad with Grilled Squid, Scallop, Mushroom Franfurtter and Teppanyaki beef in Balsamic Vinegar Dressing.

Bestnyer, I get another suprise visit from Nijah and her fiancee right after finish garnishing the salad. Great food best enjoyed with great company right?

p/s Pardon the presentation K?

Speak Inggeris Plis ...

I was reading through Tun M's article on the importance of teaching Maths and Science subjects in English a few moments ago when it occurred to me that the importance of English should not be limited to enable students to learn and understand Maths and Science in its real context. Communication English is equally important as medium of communication and forging diplomatic relation.

Yesterday, we had a visit from Kenya's Ministry of Public Services and Ministry of Housing delegation. The objectives of the visit was to know more about housing development in Malaysia in particular low-cost housing. Most of the officers who were representing various different divisions within the National Housing Department were young executive officers (M41-M44). .

The Kenyan delegates were attentive and silent throughout the presentation until the Q & A session that I noticed a brief hesitation on the guest side when the chairperson open the floor for discussion. I believed they were expecting more senior-looking high ranking officers to explain further to them various issues pertaining to housing, (judging from their resume) as they are holding senior post too in their government.

Anyway, at first I had hard time understanding their English, which were heavily accented. But from the sentence structure, usage of tenses I would rate their English as good. Then I listened to our officers answering in English ... though in my humble opinion less accented, correctly pronounced ... the officers often stopped mid-way asking for translations on certain words.

Then some of our officers tried to help and adding to what the officers had just said, I find that they either did not understand the questions or got drifted away. Some ... you could even detect slight tremor in their speech. Perhaps due to nervousness. I have to be honest, I participated in the discussion as well and I find myself spoke in Manglish instead ... with frequent use of "lah" and "maa". To certain extend I stopped mid-way as I was trying to create a perfect sentence.

Hehehe... we can be so proud that we are technologically and economically advance than Kenya but when it comes to speaking in English ... we are no way better than them ... with exception to Japan and Korea of course.

Anyway, I am proud to state here that our young officers did make our country proud as most of them understand their roles and functions and presented it well to our guest. As our guest became more comfortable and the discussion went deeper and deeper, it hit me that perhaps this was how our leaders were doing in the past.Visiting and learning from more developed or advanced countries to make Malaysia what it is today.

Over lunch, Miss Jayne, the delegation leader said " I wonder why you said that you are a developing country. From what I see from the airport to this office, this is already a developed country. I wonder whether my country could be like this in the future."

I would not elaborate on what my answer was to Miss Jayne. Suffice to say that it doesn't make you any Malaysian just by speaking and upholding Bahasa Melayu. It is more important for a Malaysian to know what makes Malaysia and what Malaysia is today. For that you can imagine how long lengthy my answer was my answer to Miss Jayne - "sebijik" like lecture BTN hehehe ...

Gelek Gerudi at RedBox Karaoke @ SOGO

Was sorting out my pics in the camera when I saw these pictures which I took on a karaoke session at RedBox SOGO with Sam's officemates, to celebrate kejayaan I mengharungi BTN. At first, I was quite shy coz I had never met this group before, which according to Sam are staff at Account Dept. So hehehe ... kena lah sopan santun dgn penuh adat ketimuran lah kunun.

Sekali, all broke loose when this one akak start singing all the kategori "goyang" punya number. Lagu "Bulan Cinta" by Amelina. Sort of ice-breaking laa.. but belum panas lagi then my self and Sam started singing yeah ... to WOW the audience lah :P ... but the mood that day was more to having fun than showcasing our talent.

But this akak again memang hebat lah with dangduts ... with voluptous body to match .. I dengan rela hati jadi backup dancers je laa... Highlight ... lagu Inul Daratista that started with ... "Para penonton, bapak-bapak, ibu-ibu yang ada disini ... " fuyooo ... siap dengan gelek gerudi ... so kitaorang pun apa lagi ... hehehe ... bak kat si Inul ... "dangdut tanpa goyang bagai sayur tanpa garam" ...

Gambarnya ngak boleh diposting yaa ... seksi bangat ...

The Trip Home

I spent my whole weekend in Penang "My Second Home", underwent vigorous food therapy starting from Char Hor Fun (upon arrival) at Pulau Tikus area, followed by my favourite moi and "kicapless" Wantan Mee in Penang Street the next morning. Then my dad bought fresh white promfret and senangin which I later steamed it in Teochew style for lunch and dinner.... fuh panjang pulak mukadimah ...

I guess hawker food in Penang are heaven coz the ingredients they use are fresh especially the seafood. Bukan apa, everytime I followed my dad to street market belakang Chowrasta I memang excited lah nak borong semua ikan kat situ. Boleh nampak lah beza nya ... Though kat sini I kadang2 get my wet ingredients from Pasar Borong Selangor, kesegaran ikan dia memang tak sama dengan wat I get here in Penang Street market.

So balik KL i decided to shed a few "grammes" by going back using alternative way. Normally, sampai Pudu Raya I will take an LRT train to Bukit Jalil Station, then from there I will take a taxi to my apartment in Fortune Park. Problem is kadang2 taxi driver taknak pegi tat area atas alasan jam and susah nak dapat penumpang. So they tend to charge more tanpa guna meter ... which irks me. Total cost from Pudu Raya to my home by this route is RM 1.90 (LRT) + RM 15.00 (Taxi) = RM 16.90.

Masa first pindah to this area, benda pertama I buat ialah identifying the bus route, nearest LRT/komuter station, taxi drivers numbers and nearest police station. Selain stesen LRT Bukit Jalil, another station paling dekat adalah stesen komuter Serdang (which also nearer). Tapi kena tukar train lah kat stesen LRT Bandar Tasik Selatan. Since I arrived awal yesterday I decided to follow this route.

Sememang Tuhan memang mahu I shed more than just few grammes. Sampai jer kat Pudu, hujan rintik2 and since my bus berhenti luar Pudu Raya, I had to "jog" about 20 metres to Pudu Raya then walk about 20 metres to LRT Plaza Rakyat. Dahlah time tuh bawa laptop and small weekend bag. Kebetulan ramai pulak students (sebab semua bawak laptop) balik ke uni dari weekend break I guess. Hmm ... takpe lah. I pun kan rupa student ... hehehe.

Apabila train sampai kena berasak-asak pulak dengan orang ramai yang maybe menghala ke arah Sri Petaling. Perjalanan ke LRT Bandar Tasik Selatan taklah lama, about 20 mins. Tapi ingatkan tak ramai orang turun kat situ, bila pintu train bukak jer ... I think separuh passengers turun. Time tu rasa menyesal plak tak bawak kad Touch "n" Go. Then I pun mulalah perjalanan I ke stesen komuter just next door.

I malas naik komuter sebenarnya sebab kalau dibandingkan, 3 tren LRT dah melepasi tempat tu barulah tren komuter sampai. Bila sampai pulak, penuh dengan student2 dan org ramai yang baru balik shopping kat Mid-Valley. But anyway .. I am not a "virgin" when it comes to berasak2 kat stesen2 LRT and Komuter nie .... habis semua skill ragbi keluar.

Bak kata pepatah, bersakit-sakit dahulu ... bersenang-senang kemudian. Sampai kat Stesen Komuter Serdang I dapati tambang teksi ke my area dah ditetapkan RM 8.00 sebab diuruskan oleh a consortium. Siap masa nak masuk taxi kena escort dan pintu dibukak lagi hehehe ... So total cost guna route B nie ialah RM 1.70 (LRT) + RM 1.00 (KOMUTER) + RM 8.00 (Taxi) = RM 10.70. Beza sebanyak RM 6.20.

Run Forrest Run

Yesterday Syuhana and I had another SJP moment over our long lunch break. Since it was unplanned so we had to make do dengan our PINK kaler office attire ... kebetulan pulak sama2 pretty in pink semalam. So our destination this time, The Curve.

Earlier that morning I terbaca about Bubba Gump Shrimp Company (belongs to NAZA Group) ada bukak 3rd outlet kat Sunway Pyramid. Wah dah 3rd outlet but dia punya first outlet kat the Curve pun I tak try lagi. Sebelum nie I adalah baca2 review tentang restaurant nie but tak terbukak hati nak try. So when Syu ajak for SJP moments I suggested we checked out this place.

Most of the dishes in the menu are seafood, in particular shrimp lah. But dari segi penamaan menu to the deco semuanya dari filem Forrest Gump. Upon arrival kami disambut dengan penuh mesra oleh staff kat situ yang rupa mereka ala ahli kumpulan Peter Pan. Before we made our order, diaorang explained lah kalau kitaorang belum nak order atau nak privacy ... we flip the signage to Run Forrest Run. Kalau kitaorang perlukan service atau nak order, we flip the signage to Stop Forrest Stop.

Menu-menu dia pun boleh tahan tahap kolestrol nya. But who cares? Anyway, montok tuh lah cantik. Cuma nak kena bagi montok kat tempat yang betul jer huhuhu ... kena pakai korset lah pas nie. For today's outing, kitaorang order Calamari Rings, I'm Stuffed, Lotsa Lava and Bluberry Smoothie. Oooo .. kalau diikutkan sinful indulgence nie, nak jer order mud pie and strawberry shortcake nyer yang sungguh lazat iteww... nasib Friday so makan pun kena dengan penuh beriman.

Ni Calamari Rings dia ... personally I rasa I have tasted better rings at one Thai restaurant in Kota Bharu and some seafood restaurant tepi pantai somewhre dekat Sepang Gold Coast area. Cuma dia add deep fried capsicum/chillies dip in batter lepas tuh bila kita perah jus lemon, the combination of the calamari rings, chilies and lemon juice memang heaven.

Sebelah kiri blueberry smoothie, belah kanan Lotsa Lava - coconut milk smoothie mix with raspberry. Dua-dua pun meletop!

Ni pulak menu dia bernama I'm stuffed. Memang stuff lah lepas makan this dish. It is actually, big shrimps with crab ball in creamy cheesy sauce with herbs served with jasmine rice. Halfway makan baru teringat nak ambik gambar.

Masa menunggu menu tiba, dia punya Peter Pan wannabe waiter datang lah bagi kuiz kat kitaorang. Soalan2 nya berdasarkan filem Forrest Gump ... I suka movie tuh but sebab dah lama tak tgk so tak dapatlah nak jawab soalan2 dia dgn kecekapan Aras 4. Kalau olpicture mesti boleh jawab semua soalan, even sebelum soalan habis ditanya...

Kesimpulannya makan kat situ memang best sampai korang pening2... Sesuai la untuk peminat seafood tapi in western style. Quite pricey lah sebab seafood kan mahal. An alternative to Manhattan Fish Market. That day we spent a total of RM 93.50. Keseluruhan akak bagi 3.5 ***

P/s balik tuh terserempak dengan seorang foreigner, belah2 uzbek rasanya, duduk kat tkt 14. Handsome banget .. tall, segak, fair mata sepet and penampilan mcm model. He was staring at me ... huhuhu ... rasa semput menahan nafas nak cover perut. Nyesal ... nyesal.

Akak Frust ....

Tau tak... I sambung balik tgk Boys Over Flowers (Korean version) kat YouTube since balik BTN. Walaupun in between those time kena attend my friend's wedding, join Sam's office karaoke outing and then our own karaoke/shopping kat Ikea session ... masa-masa yang terluang I habiskan menonton episod2 yang tertinggal ... sampai rumah tak dikemas, baju tak dibasuh semata2 nak menghabiskan drama nie.

Pastu makin lama makin mencabar nak cari episod yang ada sub-title. Problem is makin lama, makin best citer tuh. Nie pun in between uploading tgk2 jugak meteor garden untuk cari persamaan dan perbezaan. Trust me, the korean version is totally awesome.

Korean nie memang aku salute lah kalau buat telenovela yang penuh dengan konflik, mainan perasaan, ekspresi and cute boys yang poyo ... huhuhu. Cuma aku sakit hati tgk fesyen pakaian actors/actresses yang ntah apa2 ... so called designers lah ikut standard depa ... Having said that kalau nak dibandingkan baju Jerry Yan kat Meteor Garden mcm beli kat Mydin la pulak(ahaksss).

I have reached episode 18 and kalau ikut beberapa website yang I dah checkout, kat KBS2 TV pun baru air setakat episod 18 ... huhuhu lama lagi lah aku nak tunggu arashi nak sub episod 19-24. Arashi sunbae ... cepat2 lah sub dan share episod2 tuh ...

Anyway, to Adz ... memang berbaloi lah kalau ko stay back kat office semata2 nak tgk citer nie kat YouTube ... bagi lah laki ko jaga anak2 ko tuh dalam tempoh "kritikal" nie hehehe ...

... on H2O

I sebenarnya bukan nak citer pasal air. Yang I nak show off tuh water dispenser dier jer ... comel tak? I "terbeli" bende nie time temankan Syuhana belikan hadiah untuk budak2 PKS dia last week. Tak mahal pun, RM 29.90 jer kat Action City, Gardens Midvalley ...

Tak sangka kan 8 glasses of water sebanyak ini rupanya. Anyway, demi maintain "sexy" akan kugagahi juga .. Mangsa aku on sumber airnya ialah Fauzi, my EO. Dia nie kat office my upline CNI so dari tahun Mac 2008 sehingga Mac 2009 dok promote lah CNI Water Life nie ... tapi aku nie very jahat punya downline (merangkap boss). Hari2 lah Fauzi kena isi dispenser tuh dengan air Water Life daripada rumah dia hehehe ...

Nanti kalo korang jumpa aku nanti, jangan terkejut tgk wajah aku yang MAKIN berseri-seri dan menawan sehingga memancar-mancar cahaya keimanan. Tak perlu nak taubat2 (teringat dengan Pak Syed, fasilitator BTN, bila dia kata kalo orang wajah hodoh tuh suruhlah dia cepat bertaubat).

The New Mie????

Maaf lah yer .. lama dan lambat mengupdate blog kesayangan I nie.

Jadi akak pun takleh nak ambik gambar aktiviti2 sepanjang kursus.

Anyway, to me kursus nie macam reunion budak2 batch 1/2003. And sungguhpun kita satu batch tapi kita tak kenal semua and melalui aktiviti2 yang diadakan barulah I kenal mana satu ADO Tapah atau Pablo yang sering disebut2 oleh Ida. Itupun masih ramai yang macam first time jumpa plak hehehe. Seronoknya jugak dapat jumpa fellow bloggers mcm Olpicture, Zizie, and Hazel.

Among the women, dulu time awal kursus2 anjuran JPA bila malam jer call husband, boyfriend. Sekarang cakap dengan husband 30 second jer tapi cakap dengan anak setengah jam. Hehehe, dulu ingat lagi masa baru habis DPA kan ramai yang berkawin, topik utama among the girls jumlah hantaran, konsep perkahwinan, camana nak dapat anak cepat. Sekarang semua bertukar2 pandangan tentang kaedah merancang keluarga (pil perancang, implant dan IUD), isu maid, isu husband yang liat tolong isteri, dan pendidikan awal anak2. I yang belum kawin nie kena lah jadi "pencatat minit".

Kursus BTN kali nie taklah macam time DPA. They treat us with more respect and tak stressful sangat walaupun everyday our activity started at 5.30 am and ended 11.30 pm. Actually I rasa seronok sebab banyak belajar sejarah kenegaraan, my favourite subject masa kat sekolah dan uni. Mula2 tuh tak suka jugak dengan my fasilitator sebab masa ceramah tak nampak lah apa essence kuliah dia but when he handled our Latihan Dalam Kumpulan (LDK) lebih menjurus analisis sejarah, I suka pulak.

Tanpa I sedari, I tercerita banyak benda yang I learned from pembacaan dan tugasan time I kat RISIK. In fact whenever he asked us who, when, what and how an incident occured especially between 1943-1969 I participated actively. So masa break he asked me how come I know so much because some are not specificly mentioned or elaborate in the textbook. Oopsss ...

I think I pernah mentioned dulu in one of my old entry yang I memang pantang dikelilingi pokok2. Gosh! Kelebihan oksigen menyebabkan sukar betul I nak bukak mata. Pantang ada masa free, I mesti nak terlelap. In fact sampai jer kat rumah, I terus tido from 7.00 petang sampai pukul 9 the next morning.

OK to semua yang belum gi kursus nie, enjoy and learn something from it. Banyak yang kita boleh belajar other than listening to the ceramah. Contoh... just by talking to our friends and take some time away from stress at the office and home to reflect and think for ourselves for a change.
