Yesterday, I singgah kejap kat Mid Valley Megamall after my insurance agency training for a brunch. Masih "fenin-fenin" kena basuh dengan my GSM reminding me over and over again to work hard and earn more. Boleh travel round the world sponsored by Great Eastern, boleh tukar2 kete setiap tahun. Tapi kan, for the last 6 years in this line, I nie memang tak makan2 juga nasihat dia ... hehehehe.
Anyway, masa I turun dari Food Court on the 3rd floor, I happened to pass by a colouring contest conducted by National Geographic on The Blue Whale. So there were lots of children age 11 and below participating. At first, nothing seems to be interesting until I saw one kid coloured her whale orange while the others in multiple shades of blue.
Suddenly I was brought back to my kindy days, during Art and Colouring session, when my Lao Shi asked us take out our colouring book and colour the picture according to the picture guide. So happen that day the picture was also of a whale. According to the picture guide, we must coloured it pink. I think everyone in the class started to follow my Lao Shi instructions except for me. I think pink for a fish was soooooooo "tak cantik" so I coloured mine green instead. The funniest part was, Lao Shi would normally choose the nicest masterpieces and displayed it for us to see on a board. Disappointed that mine was not chosen, I posted mine on the board myself hehehe...

That's me. Love to do things differently. In my own way, at my own pace and on my own sweet time. Especially when there is no law that says we can't be different. So I guess that's answer my own question why I love my life as it is. Belajar pure science, ambik programming. Degree in IT kerja marketing (first job). Patut buat admin, berangan nak jadi lawyer. Suruh sambung belajar Masters, buat pulak professional studies.
However, I truly hope that girl who coloured her whale orange would one day would continue painting her whale orange coz the world need normal people to do normal things but extraordinary people to colour it. I didn' stay to know the result, but girl ... ur orange whale ROCKs!

Yeah, u're totally right. I see things differently also. If U're diver and when u c pink whale/elephant underwater, that means u're already kena nitrogen narcosis. Skrg ni pun i dah semakin tak normal dan semakin buat hal sdri.
i think kita berdua memang sejak dulu tgk things differently ... zaman uni patutnya kita cari boyfriend, kita pergi join PALAPES .. mana ada lelaki berani mau dekat. Hahaha...
tapi aku memang tak tahu macam mana aku boleh terpengaruh dengan kau join PALAPES, dah la masa tu aku terpaksa pinjam kasut sorang staff untuk ujian kecerdasan ... sebab aku memang mau tgk ko pegi ambik ujian, alih2 aku pun ikut berlari.
Eeehhh rasanya nijah sama dengan kita bah time tu ... jauhnya dia tinggalkan kita budak kecik tuh...
Rambo: hmmm u remind me of my school days, I luv did things in my very own ways. I'm the only Malay who did STPM in science stream in my school those days while the rest of my Malay frens opted for art, matriculation or diploma. When all of the students went to asrama, i prefered to stay wif my parents so as i can enjoy my kg's life. My degree, masters and perhaps my current research degree, all are in different fields. Yet, I don't think I am different from others but well... it just happen to be that there are ways to equifinalty and i don't think we have to subscribe neither to a single predetermined formula nor a cliché's life!
semin: u know I read somewhere that if a child is stubborn, persistent and know what he/she wants it means that he/she is intelligent.so when he grows up he already know how to differentiate wat is right or wrong, what is good or bad or set a goal.
tat's why I layan jer when my "children" tanya itu ini, kacau itu ini unless benda tu merbahaya. Anyway, I don't think I can be a strict mother... marah2 pastu sayang balik.
but our society suka obedient and well mannered child. tapi nie lah budak2 yang tend to be mat rempit, minah rempit atau degil bila dah besar.
yes, i can see that u are different than most of my malay friends. being in form 6 science stream for a full year before dapat matriculation (i lambat dapat offer) bukan senang.
Ingat pulak zaman mula2 join CNI, in a session, semua org ckp mereka bercita2 nak pakai BMW lag, CLK lah, four wheeler lah ... I sorang je mengidam Toyota Vios hahaha ... tu lah mcm mana nak kaya ...
Rambo: hmm ko mmg ada asas.. budak2 yg 'ketegaq' masa kecik lebih tahu apa yg baik utk depa bila dah besaq.. berbanding budak yg ikut jerrr ckp orang masa kecik.. bila besaq retaliate hehehehe!
So biaq la apa yg oqang lain nak kat... kita tetap kita dan kita tahu apa yg boleh bg kita bahagia kannnn ....hehehehee!
