Boys Before Flowers ..

Just few weeks back I think I recovered from my anime addiction and korean drama fever. Jangan tak tau ... masa PTK 3 I bantai tgk Saiunkoku Monogatari sampai 2 pagi ... hehehe. So pada suatu petang yang hening at home, after going through a Monday blues I switched on my TV and started to look for cerite2 best.

Suddenly I saw something I like on KBS World .... Boys Before Flowers (Korean version of famous Taiwanese hits Meteor Garden). Betul ke nie? Kenapa I was not aware about it? Huhuhuhu ... thank you KBS and thank you Astro!

Sebenarnya citer nie was adapted from a Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango by Yoko Kamio. Rasanya ramai dah tau kot. I suker sangat this story pun because I was a fan of F4 of Meteor Garden. Siap belajar nyanyi in Mandarin lagi time keje kat FTMS. Baru lah I rasa diterima dalam komuniti satu kampung with my forefathers Once Upon A Time In China kat ofis. Yelaa... now I not only have Chinese surname, Chinese look but I also sing in Mandarin hehehe ... Was so in love with Jerry Yan amidst rumours that he is ... (..sigh).

Due to Meteor Garden punya populariti and success jugaklah Japan pun buat siri Hana Yori Dango in 2005. The Japanese version sebenarnya yang I was looking 2 hari lepas on YouTube after my cousin Grace excitedly told me on my last trip home. The Korean version rupa2 start airing since Jan 5 2009 ... eeee seronoknya ...

BTW, I sekarang kat ofis sebab broadband reception kat office excellent ... sanggup semata2 nak tgk drama ni. Chow dulu nak sambung tgk episod 5 dia ... To the creator of YouTube ... you deserve an award.

The Secret of Number 6 ...

Sorry olpicture .. I knew this tag has long overdue but for the fun of it, last night I buat jugak seperti arahan tag tersebut. BTW, number 6 is regarded as one of the most auspicious number in fengshui.

Other auspicious number is 1 and 8. 2,3, 5 and 7 is regarded as inauspicious. 9 on the other is a powerful number. Kalau pair dengan auspicious number berganda lah ONG ny, kalau pair dengan inauspicious number bergandalah TAK ONG nya.

Generally that's the principle. Having said that fengshui nie pun banyak schools dia. Ada Nine Star, Black Hat, Landscape, dan ada jugak Eight Mansion. Personally I banyak apply yang Eight Mansion and Flying Star with Four Pillars Calculation. Hehehe... personal clients I kat KPKT ramai OK.

What It Represent?

The Number 6: represents self-harmony, balance, social responsibility, family, creativity Possible challenges: giving too much, becoming reclusive
Suggestions: seek balance between giving to others and self-care, get out into the world

The Number 6 in Flying Star Feng Shui

'Stars' in Feng Shui refer to body of Qi. These bodies of Qi move in a certain pattern according to Flying Star Feng Shui Calculation. In general, the Annual Star exerts the strongest influence, followed by the Month and then the Day. The Annual Star 6 White influence Authority, Power and Good Name.

Annual Star 6 in Year 2009

The Number 6 HEAVEN Star Flies To The Southwest. The heaven star is regarded as very auspicious, attracting good fortune that comes when you least expect it. Those who gamble will benefit if their rooms are in the Southwest of their homes. Houses with main doors located in or facing Southwest also benefit. This manifests as added power and authority. Those born under the Monkey and Sheep animal signs will especially benefit from this auspicious star. To strengthen the star, place a 6 tier water feature in this area.

Kinsahi Japanese Restaurant @ The Mines

Untuk makluman semua, I nie sebenarnya kalau weekends atau certain hari mendung" (moody) atau hari dapat komisen I suka indulge myself in food therapy, of course must be with a good company. One main reason is that I nak reward myself after a good work done. And to compensate zaman-zaman time sekolah when I have no money to spend for luxuries.

So bila i start keje kat KL I mula lah bergiat aktif dalam aktiviti makan secara profesional. Problem is dulu I didn't own a digital camera so takleh nak ambik gambar semua restaurant yang I dah try. So that's why lah Cikgu Suhaila, I susah nak join ko jalan-jalan (and just makan angin) kat luar negara time cuti sekolah. Most of my money I dah sumbangkan kepada KDNK kita.

BTW before I teruskan, I have no intention watsoever untuk to turn this wonderful blog (ehemmm) of mine into a food connoisseur blog. Just want to share my dining experience (and make my sister Jayne jealous) ... OK, today I nak share about one new Japanese Restaurant kat The Mines named Kinsahi. I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident 3 weeks ago masa shopping kat Mines. Time tu tiba2 feel nak makan Japanese tapi taknak yang Sushi King standard ... (sebenarnya frust terlepas Tenji Buffet). Terkejut campur seronok jugak terjumpa Japanese Restaurant kat Mines nie.

Untuk makluman, masuklah mana-mana food blog. Tak banyak dinyatakan interesting eating places kat area Seri Kembangan. During my first visit I tried dia punya Kinsahi Bento Set A (ada sashimi, sushi, tempura) price at RM 35.90. Not bad at all ... (sorry gambar on my camera tak berapa jelas). I hantar MMS of the Bento to my friend Emel and made plans to celebrate her birthday luncheon kat situ. I pun check lah website restaurant and found out dia punya other outlets kat JB and Bukit Tinggi, Klang. For other website yang ada review on this restaurant outlet at the Mines boleh check kat sini. BTW, I siap jadi member lagi to give support to Seri Kembangan eateries community.

So hari yang ditunggu pun dah tiba ... Me and the birthday girl.

Ni entry dia ... Egg Salad. Dia akan serve ni masa kita start duduk.

Our favourite, Salmon Sashimi. Actually 3 pieces from the top is Tuna Sashimi. However, kalau kat Rakuzen, diaorang serve on grated ice so maintain it's freshness. Nie kena makan dulu.

Nie Emel yang order. She told me masa kat Jerman, dia hari-hari makan Grilled Mackerel (Saba Shioyaki). Aku bagi tau dia, aku ada sorang kawan sekarang kat Jerman tapi dia hari-hari makan kebab.

Ni Chicken Nabe Udon. Prefer lagi lah yang Sushi King punya.

Fried Chicken Ramen. Sedap bangat! Hehehe, presentation lari sikit sebab tgh makan baru teringat lupa nak ambik gambar. Nie Emel yang order.

Inilah one of the restaurant specialty, Imperial Ebi Maki, the yellow roll kat luar tu mango tau not egg. Isi dalam dia king prawn. Yummy!

Dari segi ambience, food preparation and food presentation I berpuas hati lah. However, I rasa the service amat perlu diperbaiki sebab staff kurang attentive (mengikut standard Japanese Restaurant lah) kepada customers dia. Overall I bagi 3 ***.

Magical Journey of a Legendary Princess - PGLM 3

Words just couldn't described my feelings - being feets away from this legendary princess and her love in Panggung Sari, Istana Budaya last Saturday night. Praise the Lord, for again, another dream come true for me in Istana Budaya merely few months apart from each other. The other dream being an inivatition to watch Mamma Mia the Musical in Dec 2008. My heart couldn't contend how proud I was that PGLM 3 is of a greater standard in term of production, storyline and esthetical value than Mamma Mia. Datin Seri Tiara, you delivered what promised me in your 12 Jan entry. Thank you and please accept my most heartfelt and huge CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

That Saturday night show was supposed to be the last show for the season but due to popular demand they extended it to last night. Just my luck, most of the main cast and production crew were present last night. Dick Lee, Datuk Zahim Albakri, Roslan Aziz ... I was right behind Dick Lee when I told my friend Emel that the score was arranged by a Singaporean composer named Dick Lee and he is in front of us. Perhaps he overheard me and turned to face me. Hehehehe... I just smiled. Mr Lee, if you happens to read my blog, I was about to congratulate you on your score arrangement .... but the words just didn't came out.

Puteri Gunung Kulim (my best friend Emel) and Puteri Puncak Seri Kembangan (myself) arrived early at Istana Budaya yesterday to pick up our tickets, to beat the traffic jam and ensuring a nice parking spot for Froggie. So while waiting for the show to start at 8.30 pm, we a had a light snack at the cafeteria when suddenly ... the dashing wickedly gorgeous Stephen Rahman Hughes stepped into the cafe. He was in a simple blue sweater and dark coloured bermuda, with a TAPAU on his hand.

Despite that ... he was still dangerously yummylicious to my eyes. Oh Cupid ... what have you done to me?????? Even Emel was love-strucked (I guess) coz she kept asking me questions about him ... Plus, tiba2 jer nak ambik diving license after finding out Stephen Rahman loves to dive in Tioman Island during his free time.

I didn't got the chance to watch PGLM Season 1 and Season 2, however to me PGLM Season 3 has definitely bring our teater bangsawan to a greater height and a totally different level. Although PGL fairy tale + historical romance + myth + magic + tragedy formula didn't work for me in the movie version, luckily for all PGL fans, this didn't faltered this Datin's determination to bring this masterpiece into the local musical scene.

For that reason, this lady earned my respect ... a Malaysian brand in every aspect - her entrepreneurial instincts perhaps from her Chinese background to bring a movie to stage in a society yang baru nak appreciate performing arts, and her product - a Malaysian historical legend based East Meet West musical/modern bangsawan. I won't bore you with details of the storyline and improvements made on PGLM 3 ... you read about it here.

Again ... about Stephen Rahman Hughes, if his looks alone dah made me swoon ... wait till you hear his voice. My God! So soulful and mesmerizing. I thought he might slipped to his Mat Salleh accents in the show but to my suprise ... he said his line in a fluent Malay siap dengan that unmistaken Malaccan dialect. Melake, kande ... hehehe. I have learned my lesson from the last Mamma Mia show, so right after the show's I made a dash to the exit so that I could take the best snap of him during the meet the fans session. But I was so geram with this Abang besar in black shirt who was controlling the meet the fan session. Everytime I wanted to snap picture of Stephen, his big back will blocked my view. So frustating ...

Ida Mariana, excellent potrayal as Bayan, Gusti Putri's nanny had earned her rave reviews in local medias lately. I had to admit that this jazz singer has certainly captivated the audience not only with her voice but also her acting skills. I love the part when she recited a Javanese mantra preparing Gusti Putri on her journey to Mount Ledang, Keraton style, and wowed the audience with magic tricks with flame.

Adlin Aman Ramlie ... what can I say ... his potrayal as the dancing Sultan Mahmud of Melaka was very hillarious... the audience had a good laugh when he started making some familiar but comical modern dance moves ... love it. But the scene that showcased his talents best was the scene when the Sultan cast a curse on Gusti Puteri ... Lakonan yang sungguh mantap... you could feel your body trembling as if the scene was very real. AC Milan as Gusti Adipati pun mantap, I guess the role as the fierce-looking Majapahit king was meant for him.

A grander stage props, visual and high-tech effects, excellent musical scores and arrangement .. I am not sure about the scripts and storyline but to me it was beautifully executed by the actors and actresses ... with punchlines at all the right places. At one point, I had tears in my eyes when Gusti Putri found out that Hang Tuah was not climbing Mount Ledang to see her but to lead the utusan peminangan for Sultan Mahmud of Melaka ... I could feel her heart and hopes were shattered when Hang Tuah said " apa yang kanda mampu lakukan, tangan terikat di langit, kaki terpacak di bumi ... " I was like duhhhh Tuah ... why can't you just elope with her to Southern Thailand ... hahaha

I truly hope that Datin Seri reconsider her decision to make PGLM 3 the end of the journey for Gusti Putri. To me, this musical by far is the best musical that I have watched so far and worth my every single ringgit and sens. ... To Tuah, feel free to climb Puncak Seri Kembangan (in that red hot sleeveless shirt of yours) if you are looking for a HOT new princess girlfriend. Life must go on man. BTW, Gusti Putri is so not your type ...

Did I Marry The Right Person?

This article is specially dedicated to my dearest friend Anijah ... after reading this article, I think I now fully understand your decision and actions. I have to admit, you are always wiser when it comes to taking charge of your life. To Syariah and Suhaila ... this is something interesting to ponder. I don't know who the author is but it was posted by an ex-schoolmate on Facebook.

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question. She said, "How do I know if I married the right person?"

I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said, "It depends. Is that your husband?"

In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?"

Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind. Here's the answer.

EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse / partner . You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked the iridiosyncrasies (unconventional behavior/habit) .

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... Because it's happening TO YOU .

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that __expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU .

Falling in love is easy . It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria (excitement) of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies , instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?"

And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown .

People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment. Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it.

I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could. And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this): THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it day in and day out. That's why we have the __expression "the labor of love." Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM . You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work. Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery.

There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger.

It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable... you can "make" love.

Love in marriage is indeed a "decision"...

Not just a feeling. Remember this always : "God determines who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let go."

Surat Kiriman Tak Rasmi Cikgu Suhaila ...

Terkejut "akak" menerima satu bingkisan pos ekspres tanggal 7 Januari yang lalu ... Bila diselak di bahagian belakang sampul dinyatakan pengirimnya dari Tawau, Sabah .... ooooo seronotnya ... lama tak terima surat OK. Rasanya last menerima surat seperti ini zaman muda remaja. Masa tuh, my ex-boyfriend nun jauh di Bario, Miri so surat kiriman tak rasmi jer lah penghubung dan pengubat rindu time tuh ahaksss .... Ingat lagi kalau nak balas surat Noel time tuh, kena beli kertas dan sampul surat warna pink yang wangi2 ... sewangi cinta yang sedang mekar time tuh ... siap karang prayer lagi untuk dia huhuhu very the holy one ...

Sekarang .... alamak pecah rahsia skandal I dulu2 ...

Sekali baca isi kandungan surat tuh I terus ketawa terbahak2 ... aduss... cikgu suhaila. I am so happy that your trip to Egypt (click here) telah mengembalikan Suhaila yang amat kukenal suatu ketika dulu ... Sebelum tuh macam auntie nak menopause jer moody nyer. BTW, kalau cikgu Jaime kena bagi markah untuk jawapan kertas BM Cikgu Suhaila nie... 45% je kot, kira tak kredit BM lah cikgu suhaila. Nampaknya Cikgu kene ambik tuisyen lagi sebab nie soalan kertas BM, yang cikgu jawab dalam Bahasa Arab. Ker cikgu salah masuk dewan peperiksaan ... Tapi cikgu Suhaila nie OK lagi. Ada sorang ex-colleague tuh, minit mesyuarat dia penuh Bahasa Siam sampai I pun confuse macam dia boleh lepas tapisan SPA...

Anyway, cikgu ... jangan lupa update blog tuh yer ... Tun Mahathir pun selalu update blog dier and in fact lebih lama jadi blogger dari kiter. Maybe dia cuma tak tahu macam mana nak upload gambar dalam blog atau tukar-tukar header blog mcm sorang insan yang amat kukenali. Having said that, apakata kalau ko citer pasal trip ke Bangkok and u dengan the Drag Queens, tuh pun mcm menarik ... just giving you ideas ...

Just K @ The Mines Seri Kembangan

I stumbled upon this karaoke centre while shopping at the Mines Shopping Centre yesterday. With Just K kira family entertainment centres at the Mines boleh dikatakan lengkap. Previously they only have bowling centre, cinema and video game arcade. Man, I begin to love this place... more new shops, which includes my favourites like G2000, Niiichi, Treats, Effu, Big Apple ... in short banyak kedai yang ada kat Midvalley and One-U dah bukak branch kat sini. More will be opening soon ... huhuhu got to watch my wallet.

Since hari nie cuti Thaipusam so I guess why not I devote my "beautiful" voice to please the Gods instead of bringing the kavaddi up the stairs of Batu Caves hehehe ... So I called Sam to check this place out ... Lamanya kami tak berkaraoke ... The centre is situated on Level 5 at the new wing which was opened recently to public. To get there, you need to go up to level 3 (at Spices of Malaysia Food Court) or level 4 (MGV cinema) and look at the opposite direction. You will see an escalator heading to the 5th level.

The rate is quite OK lah for me ... small room (RM 12++ per hour) medium room (RM 16++ per hour) and family room (RM 19++ per hour). We were given the medium room at RM 12 per hour coz the small rooms are not conducive for karaokeing . The smaller rooms are located facing an ongoing construction that will block all sunlights upon completion so the karaoke management decided not to tint the windows... or so we were told.

Memandangkan tempat nie masih baru, so the interior design and control panels dia very impressive lah. The downside was the sound system ... lots of buzzing sounds and interference, limited song choices especially latest hits songs ... both Malay and English artists... Luckily they have all my favourite karaoke songs like Terlalu Istimewa (Adibah Nor), Aku Bukan Untukmu (Rossa), Eternal Flame (Atomic Kitten), Kiss Me (Six Pence Non the Richer), Hanya Memuji (Shanty and Marcell) ... tapi yang paling-paling akak puas hati lah kan when I had the chance to sing The Winner Takes It All by ABBA and at the finale ... Gemilang (Jaclyn Victor). Rasa macam buat concert !

Overall evaluation ... I will still give this place another chance ... say another few weeks .. Right now no offence ... but I still love Red BOX KTV at SOGO ...

Note : I welcome this new improved Mines. Plus with the new road entering Serdang Perdana behind Mint Hotel had just opened, means people will not head to Balakong via Serdang Raya thus increase the potential of my apartment area.

Law of Attraction

I bought this bestselling book by Michael J. Losier on Christmas 2007 with the intention of understanding more about "the science of attracting more of what you want and less of what you don't". Hehehe ... yea I may just as well cut the crap ... the actual intentions were attracting ideal mate and increasing wealth and abundance.

The funny thing is after reading few chapters of these book after buying it I felt nothing great about the book. No offence Mr. Losier. Until few incidents recently. I noticed that if a name suddenly flashed into my mind it was either something bad gonna happen or something unexpected. Most of the time i experience this with purchasers whom I have met but never heard of for a long time, or friends or social acquiantance whom I have not met for a very long time.

On certain occasions, I can sense bad vibes/energy surrounding a room (especially in the office) few months before an event that make me very cautious and lay-low. I think you all still remember my condolences entry to Adelina Awen Jon? Her name keep on ringing on my mind although I couldn't remember who she was, how we met or where she was. Then I saw her name on Harian Metro about her beautiful son died of suffocation in a Putrajaya nursery.

Last Friday, I was experiencing this Law of Attraction again when out of the blue another old schoolmate name flashed in my mind. I was in Setiawangsa picking up an order for my friend. Then last night at about 11.45 pm, I saw she changed her status on FB mobile every 3 minutes and she sounded as if she was in danger. I sent her messages on FB as I was truly concerned. She might be anywhere man! It turn out she was having marital problems and experiencing domestic violence which lasted about 30 minutes. Sorry at that point of time I don't dare to be the hero extending unwanted help. Nanti macam melepaskan a trapped bitch pulak ... kan?

To my relief, she was grateful of my gestures and both her and her daughter are OK. Gosh, I was truly freaked out! I think she was suprised too.. of all the people that she sent her messages to via FB, I was among the first to response. Of course I told her what had happened 2 days ago and guess wat, I think I got myself a new friend ...

P/S : FB=Facebook ... for those yang tak tau laa (duhhh???). Wonder why the Law doesn't work on attracting potential soul mates ha? Or that man is right in front of my nose but don't realise it ?? Kena khatam baca buku nie ... hehehe

Grandma's Funeral - Part 2 The Story Behind

People say a picture can say a thousand words ...

Though my sister Joan was the only one posing for the camera, when this picture was taken Thomas (the one in blue shirt) was explaining to my mum and Aunt Lara (my Filipino auntie) that the way you fold the yellow paper with the silver square on the centre (heaven money) will the determine it's value in heaven. The more it resembles a gold bar then the more value it is in heaven ... later we asked him " Got shopping mall meh in heaven?" ... very kesian right, grandma so rich now but cannot spend it.

These are 3 Buddhist monks who came to chant prayer for my grandma. Often three monks recitals were not in harmony with each other because the one in the centre always doze off...

We were asked to close our eyes and concentrate on the chants. Aunt Rose was the only one who can remained in "meditating" state during the chanting.

We also hire a band for grandma's funeral. By the way, they were not playing "Another Sad Love Songs" OK ... My grandma got taste also maa .. They played all evergreen songs like Unchained Melody, The Green Grass of Home and some popular Chinese songs. Lupa nak minta main lagu Guns and Roses - Sweet Child of Mine...

This is just a normal snap. But actually while I was taking this picture, the sight of grandma's 7 children giving their last respect and see their mother's face for one last time before the funeral master closed the coffin door was so heart wrenching that I cried. I didn't realised that the rest of the family were crying too behind me including macho cousin Eddie and Ah Peng.

Do not attempt to do this at home.

At first we wanted to send grandma a big bungalow. Can get that easily coz I still keep one miniature bungalow "courtesy" of one unlicensed developer (barang2 geledah). Then we changed our mind coz nobody will help her to maintain the bungalow in heaven. So we thought of sending her a Porsche so that she can jalan2 in style maa... then we realised grandma had no driving license. Thomas suggested to send her the latest Nokia so that we can contact her, until uncle Tony said ... "how is she going to reload the prepaid?" ... nanti macam ada satu iklan Digi pulak... so we settle with this traditional transport lah ... global economic recession maa plus more environmental friendly ...

Grandma's Funeral - Part 1 The Reunion

First and foremost, my family and I would like to thank everyone for the well wishes... We hold a grand funeral for my grandma's yesterday at our home in Ayer Itam, followed by prosession to Bukit Gantong Crematorium where my grandma's body was cremated. Tomorrow, her ashes will be placed in her resting place beside my grandpa at the temple nearby (ayakkss.. forgot the name of the temple).

Before she died, she told my aunts that she wanted to be laid to rest in this kebaya paired with the sarung that late my grandpa bought for her many years ago (grandma so romantic). She also told my aunts that she didn't want all her loved ones to be sad on her funeral. Well it was hard not be sad on funerals, plus its a BIG no-no to laugh or making jokes in Chinese funerals.

The funny thing was, we realllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyy... I mean reallyyyyyyyyyyy enjoyed ourselves throughout the 3 days vigil before her funeral. While makan we laugh, while listening to the Buddhist monks chanting we laugh, while the Taoist priest mispronounce my mum's and Aunt Lara's name we laugh ... we just can't stop making fun of each other... Mainly because most of us had not been seing each other for more than 10-20 years... gosh!!!! So they were so much to catch up. If not because of the Golden Girls Kepoh Chis(my 4 aunts) we will not know the latest news about each other... to one extend we only knew our cousins through our aunts' stories but never even met them ...

Gold bar worth millions of dollars for grandma in heaven.

Everyone catching up stories and latest news.

Everyone too seemed to aged and grew more prosperous... And with Ruby's excellent cookings most of us grew even more prosperous. At first I couldn't recognise my once STYLO uncle Tony until he said .... "yaaaaaaaaaa.... its true". When he was younger I always thought Uncle Tony as the playboy twin of my dad... now he looks soooo much like grandma or grandpa (maybe because he lost most of his teeth hahaha) ...

It was always fun to be around uncle Tony, he has sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo many stories of his younger days rendezvous and journey around the world when he was working with an offshore company. Just imagine I just found out that we lived in the same area in Jalan Ipoh the last few years but never bump into each other.

It was also the first time for me meeting cousin Bradley and Brandon, the food loving brothers which earn them the Topui (fatty bom bom) and Tukotai award (potato head) from cousin Wendy. My mum and sister Joan really have soft spot for these two boyz to men... Very well mannered, gentlemen and fun-loving guys. Haaa... they used to be baby models too ... iklan Amalkan Cara Hidup Sihat ... at one glance they can be mistaken as my brothers right? Anyway, these two boys lagi kesian ... they don't speak Hokkien. However, most of the rituals are conducted in Hokkien so everytime the Taoist monk gave us instructions they will have this blank look. At least I could get away by putting on my most Bidayuh expression, these boys mana mau lari ... mata sudah sepet.

I think among Grandma's grandchildren, most have not seen me for more than 15 years. First, I seldom joined my family trip to Penang during my teenage years. Secondly, like my dad and uncle Tony I love to lead my life free, easy and private ... so they seldom see me in any Yeoh's family occasion. BTW, everyone remember me as the naughty one and according to my mum and cousin Wendy, always do my business in the longkang, love to play (and kill) chickens ... luckily I am not a Buddhist ... else I will be reborn as a chicken and ended up as finger licking good KFC.

Nevertheless, I think nobody could recognise cousin Eddie. We had a loud laugh when cousin Wendy told us that she almost chased Eddie away thinking that he might be a bouncer or gangster entering the wrong home. Hehehe in fact my only memory of Eddie was when we were both 5 years old and Uncle David brought myself and Joan with 5 of his 6 children for a picnic to Batu Feringghi Beach...and he was such a baby, always clinged to his sister Ruby.

Baby Wei Szi ... this is her how she smile everytime she strike a pose for the camera.

Sherina and my mum

All the love and attention of the day will definitely go to Hubert's daughter Wei Szi and Ruby's youngest girl Sherina. All of the sudden, I could speak Mandarin hahaha ... coz Hubert's speaks to her daugther and wife in Mandarin (she is a Cantonese). Everyone will give these 2 girls either a kiss on the cheek or squeeze that chubby cheek until baby Wei Szi will scream ... "mai kiss, mai sayang, mai picit". One day we were doing hi five and suddenly when it was my turn Wei Szi said ... "bu yao ta" (don't beat me) ... might have mistaken me for Eddie coz he too tied his long hair into pony tail.

My appreciation will go to my four aunts especially Auntie Janet for putting the family together and keep everyone posted of what happens to each other. And because of their excellent care for grandma, she live to live a long life and up to 5 generations ...

By the way Bradley, since you told me that you will check out my blog, this is the latest pic of ur brother Kevin in my possession taken few months before he left for New Zealand.
